WHAT WE DO

SOMPED is design to shape the Somali civil Society at home and abroad. SOMPED is going to promote peace, prevention conflicts and development. SOMPED works with regional chief tribal, religious imams, professional scholars, and local and federal government key figures.  Also SOMPED works with Somali youth in order to keep them away from violence, Such as becoming a pirate, gang member, or suicidal.

SOMPED works with NEWS PRODUCERS, JOURNALIST  and send seminaries in order to be the center of the community.

SOMPED holds annual peace conference and invites government, academic, religious, civil society, scholars and elder leaders for cooperating and finding a solution through dialogue.

SOMPED expert team meets with vocational, technical and gives tools and necessary training for students who drop high school and intends to pursue a new career. Furthermore, SOMPED have monthly meeting with faculties, scholars, and Board of Education to discuss ways to move forward the Education system.

SOMPED innovation engineers comes with brand new ideas of rebuilding the main roads, public places, Such as, Hospitals, Schools, Mosques and Playgrounds while teaming up with department of transportation and local residents who are willing to upgrade country’s infrastructure .

SOMPED sports and entertainment-ship team holds regional yearly championship peace tournament of making sure youth’s inner action with each and towards regular society. Many teens within the country and abroad gave up the bad habits. Such as, looting, Fighting, and pirating that they used to involve. In addition, SOMPED collaborates with Somali music bands, and Entertainment Studios to develop peace objects and holds together fundraise concerts.
